Vote With Hart!

I’m Heather Hart, and I am running to serve Tega Cay and Fort Mill in the South Carolina State House because I believe that a government of the people should work for the people.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026!

“I think a lot of folks who have been lifelong Republicans feel left behind by the current party, especially the Freedom Caucus that has tried to take a firm hold in our state and county.

Thanks for being above the fray and being a voice for our community.”

Fort Mill Resident

Meet Heather Hart

Hello, District 66!

My family and I moved to the area six years ago to be near family and give our children the opportunity to learn and grow at the crown-jewel of school districts here in South Carolina. We feel so fortunate to have raised our family in this wonderful community and, earlier this year, I decided it was time to give back in a big way by running for State House.

Over the years, I’ve watched Tega Cay and Fort Mill explode in population — and political division — and have grown increasingly concerned about our lack of serious, unifying leadership in Columbia.

I decided to run because it is important to have a representative in Columbia who can bring people together, build bipartisan support, and protect our fast-growing community’s interests.

Among my top priorities (outlined below) are:

  • Protecting Public Education

  • Strengthening Public Safety

  • Fixing Our Roads & Infrastructure

  • Improving the Cost & Quality of Living in South Carolina

It is also very important to me to model unity, respect, accessibility, and a commitment to representing everyone — regardless of their politics.

It’s time we bring some common sense and decency back to our politics — so, let’s start right here in District 66!

My Priorities for Tega Cay & Fort Mill

I am committed to addressing South Carolina’s unproductive, poorly prioritized political agenda.

Based on what I hear most from residents in Tega Cay and Fort Mill, below is where I plan to start.

What are your family’s top priorities? Please let me know by sending me an email at heather@hartforsc.com

Protect Our Public Schools

Use FMSD’s example of leadership as the #1 district in state to improve and protect public education here and statewide

I will work to:

Protect Our Classrooms and stop the Freedom Caucus from using our classrooms as a testing ground for their culture wars

Keep Public Funds in Public Schools and stop expansion of the fraudulent private school voucher scheme

Celebrate Our Teachers by increasing educator respect, pay, benefits, and tax incentives

Champion Positive Parent-Teacher Relationships and stop the Freedom Caucus from pitting parents against educators under false pretenses

Strengthen Public Safety

Make District 66 SC’s Safest Place to Live with a 360 Approach to Public Safety

I will work to:

Support Local Law Enforcement & First Responders by ensuring they have what they need to recruit, retain, and resource their agencies effectively

Move Silfab Solar Out of Fort Mill and rebuild community trust through a formal, transparent investigation

Address Environmental Toxins that threaten our air, water, and the health of District 66 residents young and old

Protect Our Natural Resources from closed door deals that enrich out-of-state corporations and put residents and communities at risk

Fix Our Roads and Traffic

Ensure Our Growing Area is Resourced Appropriately to Maintain Our Charm

I will work to:

Fix Our Crumbling Roads by fighting for the state to address this issue head on with new thinking, funding, and incentives for fast, high quality repairs

Proactively Address Traffic by partnering with SCDOT, the county and local councils before problems arise

Ensure Responsible Spending by the state that prioritizes District 66 infrastructure and growth

Incentivize Faster Construction by better allocating the budget to allow for larger, faster crews, and happier, safer residents and local businesses
